Improving the health and well-being of horses is the mission of Greenvalley Health Products. We develop innovative products using scientific methods. Our team consists of: Henk (veterinarian), Ingrid (animal physiologist, nutrition), Monique (office manager), Sara (marketing and communication), and Rita-Sophie (founder, owner, and advisor). Rita-Sophie supports customers in the equine industry with practical and expert advice.

The origins of Greenvalley Health Products

Sophie takes her mare out of the pasture for a ride. It's a relaxing way to end a day of visiting companies for her animal feed additives business. She traveled from Drenthe to Zeeland today. As she gallops across the Utrechtse Heuvelrug, she thinks about her stable mate's horse with skin problems. The gelding has open wounds on his mane and tail from rubbing. Could the products from her company also be used on horses?

In 1996, Rita-Sophie Groenendaal founded Greenvalley International B.V.. Veterinarian Henk van Faassen and animal physiologist Ingrid Faber joined the company a few years later. Greenvalley is named after Rita-Sophie Groenendaal, reflecting her background in the agricultural sector. The company develops high-quality, specialized products for the compound feed industry. These products improve the health and welfare of farm animals. Since 2021, they have also been applying this experience and scientific knowledge of animal physiology and (veterinary) medicine to the products of Greenvalley Health Products.

Greenvalley Health Products believes it is important to bring products to market that do what they are supposed to do. The development of a new product starts with a practical question. This is followed by thorough literature and laboratory research into the effects of various possible ingredients. The product is then tested under careful supervision. If this is successful, larger-scale practical research follows. Target customers are involved in testing the products. They are best placed to assess whether a product meets their expectations. Their feedback on effectiveness and ease of use is the final step towards the end product. Production then begins, meeting high quality standards.

Sustainability is a top priority at Greenvalley Health Products. The products contain as many natural ingredients as possible and are produced sustainably wherever possible. The bottles are recyclable and the filling material in our packaging is biodegradable. The skin products, for example, are produced by a Dutch company using 100% natural and vegan ingredients.
