Happy Belly Solid is good for a balanced intestinal flora of your horse and supports a healthy skin and coat. Why does Happy Belly Solid contain palm oil?
We usepalm oil as a coating (protective layer) to allow the active ingredient (calcium bytyrate) to do its job at the right place in the intestinal tract. So it has to pass through the stomach and that requires an easily digestible coating. Other fats than palm oil are not suitable for that right now or too soft and are going to melt or too hard and then it doesn't digest. We work with sustainable palm oil, where trees are directly replanted with consideration for people and animals, our producer has a sustainability certificate for that. We are required to list palm oil on the label, not as an active ingredient, but as a resource. In addition, 90% of Happy Belly Solid consists of coated calcium butyrate and 10% of sustainable palm oil.
